Trip to Barelona

On the beginning of February I went on a trip to Barcelona with my college group. Before I went I really didn’t know what to expect, the only think I knew about this city is that it is full of public art. I was pleasantly surprise of amount of art and incredible architecture this city offers. I have fall in love particular in Casa Milà design by Antoni Gaudí. This experience opened my eyes for different aspects of design aspecial  for architecture. It made me change the concept of my project. I have decided to focused more on the movement within the design by architecture and elements within the space more than decorative elements.

Casa Milà

This is a front view of Casa Mila. As you can see this building is defiantly original, different than anything I ever seen before. Gaudi’s design is very brave and he creates and discovers unconventional architectural structure. His design is very inspirational for me not only because is an incredible piece of art but you can see his passion behind anything he has done.

This is a model of the Casa Mila placed on the top of the building in the attic of the museum. I love all the details capture form the actual building in this model.

These are incredible picture of inside of the building. Gaudi not only created lovely outside of the house but he designed inside of the building to perfection as well. Plus it plays a big role of the capturing natural lighting in the interior.

These are pictures of the interior of the rooms in Casa Mila. I think it is incredible that I could see the original arrangement of the rooms. The experience made me feel like I travelled in to past times, I almost could fell and hear people going around the flat, carry on their domestic activities, I found it fascinating.
